  1. Okay, that is FREEKING AWESOME!! I’m saving video 2 for this afternoon! Fantastic job putting that together, and what a great holiday. Wise choice to slow down and enjoy it!

  2. Mike J says:

Great video. For some reason I couldn’t get the second one to play. Looks like you had a perfect holiday.

  3. second one won’t play for me either. Well done on the first video… what an amazing trip!

  4. Groover says:

I will check it out and see if I can fix it! Bear with me.

  5. KaliDurga says:

What a fantastic way to both share and remember your holiday. You’re quite the cinematographer!I can’t wait for part two to be fixed 😀

  6. wade says:

love the way you edited this combining photos, writing, music and video. I like the 60’s treatment you put on some of the clips as well. Made it great to watch – especially a complete stranger’s vacation vid!

  7. Pedalman says:

Fantastic! Thank you for sharing a amazing journey.

  8. Philip says:

Well some multi talented household you got going there !!! Cycling,Writing and now pretty awesome film making.I liked it in every way, it was very edgy.Well done you guys

  9. Wow! You sure know how to chronicle your adventures. I need to do better next time we travel. Looks like you managed to have a great time despite things not going quite per schedule. 🙂

  10. Will says:

well done … I’d buy the DVDCongrats on such a great trip

  11. …awesome…i enjoyed your vids, knowing you guys not only got to see but even ride through some of the beauty of the 'golden state w/ all of it's wondrous contrasts…they project the feeling of how much you enjoyed yourself……you'll definitely have to come back for san francisco & the north coast & some amazing riding……i notice on your twitter reference that you had originally used "california dreaming" by the mommas & the poppas……as an ex-pat canuck who found his home here 42 years ago, those lyrics evoke a certain melancholy that's kinda scary……if i were to try living somewhere else & i heard those opening chords “on a winters day”, i'm sure the nostalgia & longing would be so overwhelming, i'd stop whatever i was doing & be california bound before the song was over……crazy ???…go figure…

  12. If you ever give up competitive cycling, come visit me at my site where I’ve made it my business to give up competing entirely!

Sweet! Glad the issue that had the 2nd video blocked for a while got fixed.Next time, you’ll have to spend some more time riding in the Solvang area, at least. Figueroa Mountain, Ballard Canyon, Foxen Canyon, Drum Canyon, etc., all worth checking. And then a tour of the wineries in the Santa Ynez valley would be a good relaxing way to spend the afternoon 🙂 Of course you drove one of my favorite rides; the Big Sur coast. I need to get back down there and ride it, soon.

  16. Richard says:

Enjoyed your videolog! A while ago, we travelled to Montreal with our 1972 VW van. It was also an adventure!

  17. Stuart says:

Great stuff, looks like you had a total blast. We’ve lived here for 7 years and still underestimate distances!#2 is not working

  18. Groover says:

The second video should work fine now?
